Stan Swamy Archive of Adivasi Narratives is a dynamic digital Encyclopedia of the Adivasi Experience, populated by narratives from Adivasis ordinary and extraordinary sharing experiences, wisdom and opinions important to the Adivasi way.
This Archive is a ‘digital dialogue’ between Adivasi citizens who maybe strangers to or, acquainted with each other sharing everything from the personal to the philosophical to the political. Building on the strengths of oral traditions inherent to the Adivasi ways of communication, the Archive is designed to restore pride and value to Adivasi cultural and intellectual heritage that it may be shared from class rooms to board rooms in the Chotanagpur plateau, elsewhere in India and the rest of the world.
It is hoped the Stan Swamy Archive Of Adivasi Narratives inspires curiosity about the traditions, customs and most importantly thinking of indigenous people, which is critical to conserving a planet in convulsion desperately seeking answers
These short films are an exclusively aural-visual experience of Adivasi culture without commentary, featuring festivals, ritual and ceremonies of the various tribes of Jharkhand
